About Me
I’m Lucas Christian, a Staff Security Engineer in Enterprise Security at Databricks, based in the Greater Seattle Area.
I have more than 10 years of security experience across Databricks, Uber, Susquehanna International Group (SIG), and consulting. My work spans enterprise endpoint security, SaaS Security Posture Management (SSPM), zero-trust access, and security automation.
At Databricks, I own enterprise EDR, scale SaaS security monitoring and controls, and build AI-assisted automation for architecture reviews. I also develop security guidance, contribute to roadmaps, and mentor engineers.
Previously, at Uber, I worked on endpoint protection, data loss prevention, security automation, and secure mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. At SIG, I built controls for privileged access, Windows security, and infrastructure hardening.
I hold CISSP and OSCP certifications and earned a Bachelor of Science in Computing Security, with a minor in Criminal Justice, from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Security beyond the day job
My roots are in RIT’s security community, including RC3 and SPARSA. I founded Team Contagion and competed in capture-the-flag and attack/defend events. I’ve also mentored Cyber Patriot students and volunteered on security competition white teams.
